Canyon National Park is approximately five hours east of Las Vegas, but the first stop is three quarters of an hour. This is Hoover Dam, one of the largest in the world and also famous because it was tried charged that Lex Luthor in Superman I.
After the obligatory pictures follow road, but when I reached Kingman decided to leave the motorway and continue on Route 66 and plan medium-like me-drive, half tribute to Peter and his favorite movie: Cars . For those of you with young children to those who like the movie (yes, the grandchildren are also valid, head) in this installment of the legendary road is the village - Peach Springs whose geographical location was inspired to put Radiator Springs. When we arrived we got a little disappointed because we expected to find an ancient, decadent people, but only found a restaurant / hotel / spa and a reformatory. Well yes, and prefabricated shacks Hualapai Indians, because "people" is located within the reserve.
After we get our strength back road, with endless lines and surprisingly varied landscapes, from the classic westerns desert to the snowy forests of fir at Williams, where we stopped for dinner and sleep.
The next morning, after an hour journey, we arrived at Grand Canyon National Park. Once there we made a route by car to the east, stopping at vantage points along the way and had just dropped our jaws on the floor when he saw such beauty.
Well, in summary you can see some pictures of the trip. If you have four minutes free, of course.
