Champions!
This year, as I did last year, I volunteered to coach the football team at school. There are two categories in Middle School, Varsity (children in sixth through eighth) and JV (Junior Varsity , sixth-and seventh). The surprising thing was to make a team for each category, as we only have about 180 students, but in the end I joined nearly 40 children footballing willing to fight with other schools, each with over 600 students.
the end, did David and a bargain of Goliaths and we reached the final in both categories without losing a game. In the end, the team rose Varsity with a deserved win against West (1-0) and the puny of JV had to settle for second place after losing to Eisenhower 2-1.
yet I have no photos of the event, but I guess it could not have put so although it is smaller in them. Of course, there were chronic parties in the local newspaper and are televising the games on the educational channel of the city.
A week after we win the trophy presentation ceremony in our cole and adorned with a profes match against students who, incidentally, won the talluditos.
PD: Now I belong to the select club of coaches (Guardiola, Del Bosque ...) that have won a championship on several continents. "Mourinho? And who won that?

Days of Autumn (I)
already said once that autumn is the most beautiful season in the American Midwest, and here in Rockford, with the number of trees they have, what is more. This year also we are having a spectacular time, as many would like July / August in Lugo, so we're enjoying the outdoors all we can, either hiking or in front home.
Speaking of being in front of house, a couple of days ago I recorded the children play to record the moment when Helen finally entered the world of cycling on two wheels, yet to master the art a bit slow. Here's the document:
certainly do not know if you notice that we really liked "The Wonder Years."

The Larch friend (in memoriam)
were evident symptoms, diagnosis, admitted no doubt ... larch our garden he had two newscasts of life. Since last fall had become a bit more dangerous the wind blew hard and we "gave" one of their dead branches, so Pat decided to cut it.
For such work had to come three people with a crane and two trucks. Currando were about six hours to pull such a bug. The best what happened was Marta, because it left up to the crane to the height of the tree, about 20 feet above the ground.
The highlight of the day you can see in this video.
The next day, Saturday, Pat came with two colleagues to finish the job with a razor called wood splitter , Which amounts to a mechanical hand ax log by storm. Here's a moment taken from the several hours we lay down (and not finished). Indeed, the most difficult was not from the trunks, was to have arrived to the machine.
All this reminds me so macho that I'm doing in this land. Of course, I hope not reach the extremes of this type
